Internet Cat Video Festival slinks its way into Silicon Valley
San José, CA– Move over dog lovers and canines, a stampede of fuzzy, adorable cats will be clawing their way to Camera 12 Cinemas to host the Internet Cat Video Festival on November 15, 2015.
Sponsored by the Office of Councilmember Pierluigi Oliverio, the City of San José, and the Walker Art Center, the event is the first of its kind to bring together cat lovers and cat video lovers in San José.
The Festival will feature an hour-long clip reel of cat videos from around the world, including Hover Cat and Henri Le Chat Noir. Attendees can enjoy opportunities to learn about local animal resources and adoptions with the festival’s community partners.
Costumed attendees are encouraged. The best outfits may even become the ‘cat’s meow,’ and be eligible for prizes, such as cat food and toys, in addition to the admiration of their peers.
A $12 donation is suggested for the event with the proceeds benefitting local cat rescue groups. Tickets for this feline frenzy can be obtained at Camera 12 Cinemas at 201 S. 2nd Street or online at www.tinyurl.com/CatVideoSJ.
Ticket stubs can be redeemed for a free cat adoption on or before December 15, 2015. This will be paid for by the Office of Councilmember Pierluigi Oliverio.
Remember the Festival’s motto: “It’s not about watching cat videos, it’s about watching cat videos together” to have one big Meowapalooza.
