A message from Councilmember Oliverio:  “I recently discovered the city of San Jose animal care center was filled to capacity with cats in need of loving homes. As a result, I sponsored free adoptions for one week in August. 63 cats were adopted that week (a 125% increase), and now enjoy a happy home. We would like to repeat the success by again sponsoring FREE adult cat and select kitten adoptions, November 1-7, 2013.
