About Pierluigi

Growing up in San Jose

Pierluigi is the son of immigrant parents, Italo and Matilde, who are both retired teachers.  Pierluigi attended Booksin Elementary, Hoover Middle School, and Willow Glen High in the San Jose Unified School District.  He then went on to obtain his BA and Teaching Credential from San Jose State University.  Raised on Willow Street, he is a homeowner on Cherry Avenue where he is a parishioner of St. Christopher’s church.  In addition, Pierluigi has over 20 years of high tech work experience in the semiconductor and software industries.  Prior to being elected to the San Jose City Council, he traveled to 45 countries.

Pierluigi was elected to the San Jose City Council in 2007, in 2008 and for a third time in 2012.  He currently sits on the following Boards Commissions, Committees:
